Seminar on “Lead Generation for Business” Organized by Department of Business Administration ABES Engineering College, Ghaziabad

A Seminar on the topic “Lead Generation for Business” was organized by the Department of Business Administration, Department of Business Administration, ABES Engineering College, Ghaziabad on 06/09/2019., in association with Ghaziabad Management Association.

The inaugural ceremony started with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by HOD MBA, Prof R K Singhal, Mr Vinay Gupta CEO of Ghaziabad Management Association, Mr Chirag Ranjan, Mr Ankit Chauhan and other dignitaries present on the occasion.

HOD MBA Prof R K Singhal delivered the welcome address and introduced the theme of the seminar. He said that “Lead Generation for Business” was one of the most critical issues in Marketing. He explained the concept of various sources of lead generation and their significance in sales and marketing. The main speakers were:

The First Speaker was My Vinay Gupta, who highlighted how attractive and appealing advertisements by companies was an effective way to get more customers and to carry out a successful marketing campaign.

The next speaker was Mr Suvin Verghese, a student of MBA at ABES EC. He discussed aspects like demand generation, sales narrative hierarchy etc. He also gave an informative presentation on lead generation techniques used by companies like “Hero Hooks” and “HDFC Bank”.

The next speaker was Mr Chirag Ranjan, who gave a very informative and lengthy presentation on „Lead Generation”. He said “sales” was a very challenging and lucrative field for a career. He also said that students opting for a career in Sales should not be afraid of targets, since every jobinvolved targets. He highlighted the “inbound and outbound” aspects of sales. He reiterated the
on various strategies on generating leads, particularly the importance of communicating with potential customers via Digital Marketing, Social Media and LinkedIn.
The next speaker was Mr Ankit Chauhan. He spoke about the major sources of lead generation viz SEO, LinkedIn, Quora, email, websites, referrals and cold calling. He discussed lead generation in b2b and b2c marketing and described the steps to be followed for effective lead generation.

The next presenation was made by Mr Abhishek Kumar and Mr Aniket S Malan, students of ABES EC. They discussed the five styles for successful lead generation i.e. Suspecting, prospecting, approach, negotiation and closure.

The last speaker was Mr Abhishek Rajawat , a student of ABES EC. He spoke about the role of content in lead generation. He said that in E-Marketing the content on a website had a great influence on the amount of lead generation.

In the end mementos were distributed to the speakers and guests. Dr Rudresh Pandey conducted the Session and Dr Abhijit Das delivered the vote of thanks. Dr Abhijit Das thanked the management of ABES EC for their support in organizing the programme.

Students of MBA programme at ABES EC, IPEM and other colleges as well as representatives from various industries attended the Seminar.
