A MDP on Labour Reforms-Recent Amendments in Labour Laws& Proposed Labour Codes on the 11th of August 2018 by the Department of Business Administration  ABES Engineering College, Ghaziabad. Participants from various industries as well as academicians attended the programme. Dr. Onkar Sharma- Dy. Chief Labour Commissioner (Central)- Government of India was the key speaker.

Labour Reforms  is one of the most crucial contemporary issues of workplace. The stakeholders really want to learn about the recent and proposed changes in labour laws and their impact on their organisations. This workshop was meant to facilitate the same. It was attended by  Professionals from Corporate, PSUs and Government Organizations and academicians. It helped the participants to enhance awareness, harness opportunities, highlight regulatory obligations and understand the right procedures to be followed in their organisations in the backdrop of ever changing labour laws and its implications on the employer-employee relations at the work-place.

Dr. Onkar Sharma- Dy. Chief Labour Commissioner (Central)- Government of India Dr. Onkar Sharma is responsible for Drafting of the Codes, Bills for Amendments in Labour Laws. He is Appellate & Controlling Authority under Labour Laws. Also responsible Providing inputs for framing the Labour Policy of the Country. Conciliation and Monitoring of Industrial Relations & Enforcement of Labour Laws. He is Director General of Inspection. He is also a Member, Core Group, National Human Rights Commission.
